Tickers
A ticker is the code that identifies an asset in a simulation. Most tickers follow Yahoo Finance codes, and the platform adds its own codes for fixed rates, interest rate indexes and Brazilian assets. Modifiers can be added to any ticker to change its currency, apply leverage, split its price or combine it with other tickers.
- Yahoo (stocks, ETFs, indices, currencies and crypto, e.g. AAPL, PETR4.SA, ^SPX, EURUSD=X, BTC-USD)
- Modifiers (Currency, Leverage, Fraction, Synthetic, Trim, e.g. TSLA:EUR*2/10)
- Regional (Brazil - IPCA.SA, SELIC.SA, IMAB.SA, NTN-B.SA(YYYY))
- Basic (FIXED and USFED, below)
Each portfolio or algorithm accepts up to 10 tickers.
Basic
Fixed Rate
Format: FIXED*[RATE]
Example: FIXED*0.05 (5% per year)
Represents an asset that grows at a constant annual rate, compounded every business day, such as a savings account, a time deposit or a simple bond. It does not move with the market.
[RATE] is a decimal: FIXED*0.05 is 5% per year. Without a rate, FIXED grows 100% per year, so always set one. For FIXED the * sets the rate, so the leverage and fraction modifiers do not apply. To set its currency, add it before the rate (e.g., FIXED:EUR*0.05).
US Risk-Free Rate
Format: USFED
An index that starts at 100 and grows at the yield of the 13-week US Treasury bill (^IRX), compounded daily. Use it as the US risk-free rate, or combine it with an asset, e.g. SPY+USFED.
